The Recognition committee's mission is to recognize the achievements of women and allies to spotlight the diversity of leadership.

Our committee actively supports nominations for the following awards by collaborating with referred candidates to coach and refine their nomination submissions.
Dallas Business Journal Women in Technology
Nominees should be one of the following:
- Head of an established or startup technology company based in North Texas
- Holder of a leading technological or scientific role in North Texas within a company whose primary product is technology
- In a leadership position in North Texas in the IT or technology research department of a non-technology organization
Nominees should have been in their current role a minimum of 12 months, and accomplishments should focus on the previous 12 to 18-months.
Lifetime Achievement And Distinguished Ally Awards
Two categories, with one honoree per category:
- A. Lifetime Achievement Award - Recognizes exceptional contributions to women and the Dallas tech community.
Candidates must be women
- Candidates must have a career span of over 30 years
- B. Distinguished Ally Award - Recognizes leaders who actively support and promote women and diversity in technology leadership.
Candidates must be men
- Candidates must hold an executive role in their organization
D CEO Nonprofit Award
D CEO Nonprofit Award - Nominee & Finalist | Nonprofit Team of the Year: A nonprofit staff (or team within a larger organization) that supports a specific cause or program. This year, DFWATW was honored as a finalist for the D CEO Nonprofit and Corporate Citizenship Awards in the Nonprofit Team for the Year category!

Spark Awards
DFWATW, in collaboration with the Recognition Committee, proudly announced the 2024 Spark Award at the Executive Leadership Forum (ELF) this year. This prestigious award honors women not only for their achievements in the workplace but also for their efforts in shaping a brighter, more socially-conscious future.
This year's award was presented at the 2024 ELF event to Sulagna Bhattacharya, CEO of Nanoscope Therapeutics.
DBJ C-Suite Leaders Awards
The Dallas Business Journals C-Suite Leaders awards program honors CEOs, CFOs, COOs, CIOs, CTOs, HR Leaders, and more for their performance, innovation, and leadership.
DFW*ATW Spark Award
DFW Alliance of Technology and Women and the Recognition Committee are excited to announce our first annual Spark award, acknowledging women not just for their achievements in the workplace, but for their work in forging a brighter future for us all through socially-minded innovation.
This award was presented at the 2023* Executive Leadership Forum to our inaugural winner Jamie Erbes, Director, Technical Customer Experience, Google Maps.

Nominees should have been in their current role a minimum of 12 months, and accomplishments should focus on the previous 12 to 18-months.
Tech Titans
The Tech Titans Corporate CIO/CTO award recognizes the Chief Information Officer or Corporate Technology or Science Officer of a North Texas based technology or non-technology company for exceptional technical leadership that fostered the development or deployment of new technology resulting in significant value for the company.
The company has an annual operating revenue of more than $200 million.

Participant Offering
- Hands-on learning and coursework
- Learn cloud computing fundamentals
- Live Instructor led training – Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification training
- Build in-demand tech skills in DevOps, Agile/SAFe, and Cyber Security
- "Slice of PepsiCo" in-person experience with PepsiCo leadership at their headquarters in Plano
Participant Expectations
- No previous tech experience required
- High school diploma or GED
- Authorization to work in the USA
- Access to a computer and the internet
- Motivated and committed to post-program job search
- Commitment to take up to 3 attempts at certification exam
- Maintain engagement with program outreach staff
- Attendance at all sessions is required
Full-time skills development program to jump-start your career working in cloud computing
Participant Offering
- Scenario based learning
- Hands-on labs and coursework
- Learn IT Fundamentals - to use programing languages like (Linux, Python, Networking fundamentals)
- Live Instructor led training - AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
- Build Professional skills - effective communication, time management, resume building, interviewing skills
Participant Expectations
- 12-week full time commitment
- No previous tech experience required
- High school diploma or GED
- Authorization to work in the USA
- Access to a computer and the internet
- Virtual (50 miles from Accenture Corporate office)
Participant Offering
- A seat in an AWS instructor led Cloud Practitioner Boot Camp
- Preparation materials, self-guided preparation course from Udemy
- Practice exam vouchers and prep book (Digital)
- Three study sessions led by Capital One Associates
- Three paid attempts to sit for the Cloud Practitioner Certification exam
- Career development support from Capital One recruiting team
Participant Expectations
- Submit an application for consideration
- Attend AWS instructor led boot camp sessions
- Commit a minimum of two-hours a week preparing for the exam
- Take the exam within three weeks of the boot camp ending
- Become certified within three months of boot camp end date
